Sunshine Coast's Motorised Blind Specialists
Every motor we install is an Automate® motor by Rollease Acmeda — designed and tested in Melbourne, controlled by remote, app or voice. Here's the straight technical story nobody else will give you.
This is the first decision on every motorised job — and the right answer depends on your home, not on what a salesperson has in the van.
| Automate Zero Li-Ion (Battery) | Automate E6 / M6 (Wired 240V) | |
|---|---|---|
| Best for | Existing homes — no wiring, no electrician, no mess | New builds & renovations with an electrician on site |
| Power | Rechargeable lithium battery — up to 500 cycles per charge | Mains 240V — nothing to recharge, ever |
| Charging | Magnetic USB cable, a few hours; optional solar panel for set-and-forget | Not applicable |
| Blind sizes | From 580 mm up to 3 m wide (up to 3 linked blinds / 9 m on one motor) | Up to 3 m wide, 6.0 Nm torque for heavy blinds |
| Quietness | Quiet, smooth travel | ~38 dB published — about as loud as a library |
| Smart home | Identical for both — ARC two-way radio to remotes, Pulse hub, app, voice, schedules and sensors | |
| Warranty | 5 years, battery included | 7 years |
Every install includes a multi-channel remote. The Push Pro remote runs daily open/close schedules entirely on its own radio link — your blinds keep their routine even if the Wi-Fi is down.
The Acmeda Pulse hub puts every blind — indoor and outdoor — in one app: scenes, timers, sunrise and sunset automation, and control from anywhere.
The Matter-certified Pulse Pro hub works with Google Home, Amazon Alexa, Apple HomeKit, SmartThings and pro systems like Control4. "Hey Siri, close the bedroom blinds."
The classic smart-home upgrade — whole-home packages typically run $7,000–$15,000 installed depending on window count and fabrics.
Australia's only 100% blockout system comes with motorisation included as standard — no extra cost.
Motorised outdoor blinds with sun and wind sensors — typically $3,500–$5,500 per blind installed.
Battery motors don't — the Automate Zero Li-Ion motor is fully wireless, recharges with a magnetic USB cable, and an optional small solar panel can keep it permanently topped up. Hard-wired 240V motors (E6/M6) do require a licensed electrician and suit new builds and renovations.
Acmeda's published figure is up to 500 up-and-down cycles per charge. For a blind used once or twice a day that's many months between charges; recharging takes a few hours.
Yes. The Acmeda Pulse hub connects your blinds to Google Home, Amazon Alexa and Apple HomeKit — the current Pulse Pro hub is Matter certified, which also adds SmartThings and professional systems like Control4. If you don't want a hub, the Push Pro remote runs daily schedules on its own radio link, no Wi-Fi required.
Yes — Zipscreen and the Automate motor range come from the same Australian company, Rollease Acmeda, so outdoor and indoor blinds run in the one app with the same remotes, schedules and voice control. Sun and wind sensors can retract outdoor blinds automatically.
Hard-wired 240V Automate motors carry a 7-year warranty. Battery Li-Ion motors carry a 5-year warranty including the battery — and the warranty is backed locally by us, not an offshore seller.
